The UFC Vegas 67 fight card Imavov vs Strickland is on deck for fight fans this Saturday, January 14th from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, NV. The prelims will kick off at 3:00 pm CST and the main card will air at 6:00 pm CST. The event is headlined by Nassourdine Imavov #12 vs Kelvin Gastelum #13 (now #7 Sean Strickland) in the middleweight division. The co-main event features Dan Ige #13 vs Damon Jackson in the featherweight division.

Main Event

The French fighter, Nassourdine Imavov (12-3-0) is working off of 3 straight wins. His most recent win came at the expense of Joaquin Buckley via a unanimous decision victory. Looking to cement himself as a true contender in the division, Imavov looks to increase his win streak. With 7 first round finishes under his belt, he could prove to be a real problem for anyone in the division.

The American fighter (and second half of this main card), Kelvin Gastelum (17-8-0), is attempting to push back into the win column after a couple of straight decision losses. Most recently, Gastelum lost a decision to Jared Cannonier, in August of last year. With 7 knockouts on his record, Gastelum looks to make problems for the French fighter in Vegas this Saturday.

(updated 1/11/2023) – Gastelum is out due to a mouth injury and Sean Strickland is stepping in on short notice. Strickland is in a small group of fighters to headline back to back UFC cards. Strickland is coming off of 2 losses which include a KO loss to the current middleweight UFC champion Alex Pereira and a controversial decision loss to Jared Cannonier.

Co-Main Event

In the co-main event, Dan Ige (15-6-0) vs Damon Jackson (22-4-1), these two featherweights meet at a critical impass for both fighters. Dan Ige is desperate to get into the win column after losing three straight. Meanwhile, Damon Jackson looks to continue to climb the ranks as he is looking to make Dan Ige his fifth straight win to propel him greater heights. The pressure is on for both of these fighters to make a statement in the division.
