The UFC is the largest Mixed Martial Arts promotion in the world. With the first event being held in 1993 the company has grown leaps and bounds under the talent and leadership of the organization.

The UFC was a much more brutal competition in its infancy. With no weight classes and nearly no holds barred rules, mixed martial art competitors faced an even greater risk of injury. Many of the rules, and legitimacy of the sport are owed in part, to the UFC and its leadership.
