UFC 282 Results, Blachowicz vs Ankalaev

The UFC 282 results for Blachowicz vs Ankalaev are in. This Saturday’s event went down live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV. The event featured a light heavyweight championship fight that would put claim to a vacated title (vacated by Jiri Prochazka after a training injury).
The main event was a wild fight. In the early rounds, Ankalaev looked to be the busier fighter. He was out-striking his opponent and looked to be getting the better of the exchanges. Blachowicz was really peppering his lead leg with great kicks that would cause Ankalaev to switch to an Orthodox stance. The leg kicks kept coming, however, and by the final round, it was an exhausted Ankalaev who allowed Blachowicz to have a 10-8 round on two judges’ scorecards. The final decision ended in a draw, leaving the light heavyweight title vacant.
The co-main event, Paddy’ The Baddy’ Pimblett vs Jared Gordon was another fight filled with controversy. In this fight, many argued that the judges got it wrong and that Gordon should have taken the decision. In what was essentially a back-and-forth close contest, Pimblett found himself the favored fighter by judges, winning each card 29-28. However, many fans and professional fighters do not agree with that outcome.
