The UFC 278 results have all culminated into one epic night of violence. The event was held in Salt Lake City, UT from the Vivint Arena on Saturday, August 20, 2022.

The main event was for the welterweight title, when Leon Edwards would challenge Kamaru Usman for the second time. The champion, Kamaru Usman, was looking to continue to dominate his division and stake his claim for best pound for pound fighter in the UFC. Edwards weathered the storm for four rounds until a head kick, in the final round, met its mark and took the champ down and out. The belt changed hands in a stunning upset.

Paulo Costa and Luke Rockhold met at the co-main event of the night and threw down in an awesome show down. Paulo Costa edged out Rockhold and went on to get his hand raised and solidified his top 10 rankings and broke his loss streak.
