UFC 142: Will Aldo Remain the Champ?
Jose Aldo will be fighting Chad Mendes for the UFC featherweight title on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at UFC 142. Jose Aldo (20-1) seems to present a unique challenge to his division. Having successfully defended his title twice in the UFC, against game competitors Kenny Florian and Mark Hominick, Jose Aldo may be difficult to find the next big challenge in his weight class. Aldo has already had his share of battles in the WEC with many of the top ranked fighters in the UFCs featherweight division.
Chad Mendes (11-0) brings, the always welcome, nostalgia that only an undefeated fighter can bring. The number two ranked UFC featherweight, Chad Mendes, has lacked a little stopping power, compared to his opponent. In Mendes’ eleven fights seven have gone to decision. This may make some people feel partial to Aldo’s chances but the truth remains there is always a fighters chance.
Fight fans across the world will find out Saturday, January 14, 2012 who will hold the title in the UFCs newest division.
