PFL 2 Fight Card, 2023 – Pacheco vs Budd

The PFL 2 fight card, 2023 is next on deck to go down live Friday April 7, 2023. The event will air on ESPN+ and ESPN2 at 10:00pm ET from the Theater at Virgin Hotels, Las Vegas, NV.

PFL 2 Main Event

Larissa Pacheco vs Julia Budd in a women’s featherweight bout should give good insight to the season. With Olena Kolesnyk and Aspen Ladd on the card as well it should certainly be a great night.

Larissa Pacheco is last years champion after she upset the PFL’s pound for pound best female fighter, Kayla Harrison. It was the third time these two had faced each other but this time it was Larissa Pacheco’s night.

For her first bout in the 2023 tournament, Larissa Pacheco will face off against Julia Budd. Budd is coming off of two straight losses and will undoubtedly have a difficult task in front of her this night.

This will additionally likely end up being a striker vs grappler, as Larissa will look to keep this fight on the feet. Julia Budd may feel the pressure on this one particularly if she can’t execute a good strategy.

The odds swing heavily in favor of last years champion.

PFL 2 Co-main Event

Bruno Cappelozza vs Matheus Sheffel is a rematch in the heavyweight division. These two met in June of last year and Sheffel took the steam out of Cappelozza’s sails when he stopped the 5 fight win streak of Cappelozza.

Cappeloza went on to the 2022 playoffs but had to withdraw due to an injury. Scheffel stepped in as a substitute and eventually went on to earn a spot in the championships.

Cappeloza will basically look to nullify Scheffel’s superior boxing and movement with wrestling. It may not be the barn burner that fight fans want, but true MMA fans see the merits in all fighting styles, and winning pays bills.

Scheffel is looking for payback after last year’s loss.
