Bellator 281 Results (MVP vs Logan Storley)

Bellator 281 results are in. Michael ‘Venom’ Page vs Logan Storley for the Welterweight title was the main event of the night. Storley ended up topping the judges score cards as this bout went the distance. The crowd at the O2 Arena began to boo the newly crowned Welterweight champion, due in large to the fact that he controlled MVP with wrestling that only assured control over his opponent but never threatened a submission or put his opponent in danger.

Lyoto Machida vs Fabian Edwards was the co-main event of the evening. This fight was the opposite of the main event. The pressure put on by Fabian Edwards had Machida unable to get his bearings. A smooth elbow when seperating from the clinch was all Edwards needed to drop Machida and quick few punches had Machida out cold in the first round.

Check out this video of Storley vs MVP highlights, courtesy of CBS Sports, and as always the results are posted below.

Bellator 60 Results

It was a great night of fights at The Venue at Horseshoe Hammond in Hammond, Ind. where some of the finest, in Bellator, slugged it out to see who is the top man.  An excellent main event took place, where many wondered if the referee should have stepped in sooner.  It makes a compelling argument as to when is the right time for a referee to intervene.  Should a referee risk stopping a fight too early to preserve the fighters health, or is it better to let everyone know that a fighter undoubtedly won the bout?  It can often be a tough call but surely there is a correct balance to be had.

Genair da Silva took out Bobby Reardanz by way of TKO in the third round due to unanswered strikes.

Alexandre Bezerra tapped out Kenny Foster in the second round by way of rear-naked choke.

Shamar Bailey vs. Josh Shockley went the distance where Josh Shockley took the unanimous decision.

Bellator Featherweight Tournament Quarterfinal

Marlon Sandro applied a rear-naked choke on Roberto Vargas getting the win in the featherweight tournament.

Ronnie Mann vs. Mike Corey went the distance where Mike Corey got the unanimous decision.

Daniel Straus went the distance with Jeremy Spoon where Straus took the unanimous decision

Bellator Featherweight Championship

Joe Warren nearly takes Pat Curran to a decision when Curran began to pour it on the champ and eventually got the knock out at 1:25 of round three, making Pat Curran the new Featherweight champion.

Cory Galloway got submitted Jake Nauracy when a rear naked choke proved to be too much to defend in the second round.

Travis Wiuff vs. Anthony Gomez went the distance where Wiuff picked up the win by unanimous decision

Sean McCorkle threw Richard White into a neck crank early in the first round for what appeared to be an easy win.
