Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson to Fight on May 25 with Titan FC
Anthony Johnson will make his Titan FC debut this May to headline Titan Fighting Championship 22. The former UFC fighter will face a yet to be signed opponent, in his Spring debut. Tune into HDNet for a live showing of Titan FC 22 on May 25, to catch the card, or attend the event in person at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas.
Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson (10-4-0) was recently let go from the UFC after having difficulties making weight for several bouts. It was his fight against Vitor Belfort, in which he made the move to middleweight, that sealed the fate of his UFC career. Having missed his middleweight mark on Jan. 14 at UFC 142 in Brazil the fight became a 197-pound catch-weight. UFC President, Dana White, then announced, shortly there after, that the organization would be parting ways with Johnson.
‘Rumble’ Johnson seems excited, though, for his new home at Titan Fighting Championship. In a post found at TitanFighting.com the former UFC talent had this to say:
I’m back, and I’m fighting May 25 with Titan Fighting Championship, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to headline this event for all the fans in Kansas City and watching that night live on HDNet,” said Johnson. “I am so pumped to be fighting again, and I’m ready to take on whatever 185 pounder they put in front of me. I received offers from all over the world, and after a lot of consideration, my manager Glenn Robinson and I settled on Titan because it’s a good promotion, but more importantly it’s run by really good people,” said Johnson.
