Anthony Johnson gets his pink slip

Anthony “Rumble” Johnson has been let go from the UFC after having failed to make weight at his last bout, against Vitor Belfort at UFC 142.  It’s no surprise to many fight fans, that Rumble will not continue fighting for the big venue, as this is his third time missing weight during UFC weigh ins.  Johnson stepped on the scales an astonishing eleven pounds over the middleweight division limit, making him closer to a light heavyweight.

This being Johnsons third time missing weight didn’t seem to help his chances with job retention to say the least.  What could have saved Johnson’s job?  Maybe a starter would be to win the fight that he never even dropped the weight for.  Unfortunately for Johnson Vitor Belfort had other plans.  Good luck to you Johnson, maybe get a camp with better nutritionists, or find some self restraint, but whatever it is we’d like to see you continue fighting.

He had it coming really. such talent wasted in my opinion. Im sure if he strings together some good wins while not missing weight he will be invited back in.
